OPERATIONS MANAGER

Meddō is a landscape design and install firm based in Richmond, Virginia, focused on developing sustainable, regenerative gardens. We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Operations Manager to join our team. The position being offered is a full-time, year-round job. As Operations Manager, you will work independently and alongside the owner and other employees to improve internal processes and company culture. Excellent communication and organization skills are a must.

Location Richmond, VA

Hours 40 hrs / week 

Pay Commensurate with experience

Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to the following)

  • Employee interviewing, onboarding, training and evaluations

  • Schedule projects and on-going maintenance

  • Work within our programs, which include Google Workspace, Bench.co, Quickbooks, Monday.com and Jobber

  • Submit documents for company tax filing, renew licenses, and ensure all other legal and regulatory documents are filed

  • Monitor compliance with laws and regulations

  • Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company

  • Plan and lead quarterly meetings on the health of the business

  • Build alliances and partnerships with other organizations

  • Oversee budgeting, reporting, planning and auditing

  • Analyze and improve organizational processes

  • Identify inefficiencies and implement strategies for improved quality and productivity

  • Review, update and enforce company policies

  • Strategize growth opportunities and assess profitability

  • Delegating to other managers as design and retail services expand

  • Engagement with field operation to learn best practices

Requirements

  • 2+ years management experience

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field (preferred, but not required)

  • Ability to interact with clients in a positive and friendly manner

  • Leadership and good communication skills

  • Analyzing and decision-making skills

  • Punctuality
