Meddō is a landscape design and install firm based in Richmond, Virginia, focused on developing sustainable, regenerative gardens. We are set to open a a small retail location inside of our new studio location in Church Hill, where we will sell a variety of indoor plants, as well as garden- and home-related goods. We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Shopkeeper to join our team. The position being offered is a full-time, year-round job. As Shopkeeper, you will work alone and alongside the owner and other employees to fulfill client and customer needs. Quality of work is paramount and attention to detail is a must.

Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to the following)

• Work collaboratively with the owner and other employees to provide exceptional customer service and client experiences

• Transport self to and from studio location

• Source and pick up materials, or schedule deliveries

• Greet customers, re-stock shelves, maintain shop aesthetic, and be responsible for money-handling procedures

• Report sales information and provide feedback to the owner and other employees

• Brainstorm sales and marketing ideas for retail location

Requirements

• X years retail experience (plant retail experience preferred)

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in horticulture or related field preferred

• Efficiency while maintaining attention to detail

• Ability to interact with customers and clients in a positive and friendly manner

• Clean driver’s license

• Punctuality
